Call for projects for UTS Master of Genetic Counselling students
We are currently looking for project opportunities for the 2026 cohort of Master of Genetic Counselling students at UTS.
Projects may be quantitative or qualitative, involving data collection and analysis or just data analysis. Students may work within an established research team conducting a discreet project as part of a larger study. Alternatively, students may conduct a literature review using a recognised methodology.
Projects must be relevant to genetic counselling (not laboratory-based), and manageable within the time frames of the program (commencing end of July 2026 and completing early June 2027) and the study commitments of the student (students are expected to spend 6-10 hours of effort per week on their project).
In addition to the project supervisor(s), all students will be allocated a UTS advisor who will be responsible for the student’s learning. If HREC approval is required, the student and UTS advisor will need to be named on the project approval and ratified by UTS HREC.
If you have an idea for a project, please complete an EOI by 17 April using this form: Student Research Project Proposal: 2026-27. If you have any queries or would like to discuss a potential student project them please contact [email protected]. We would be very happy to provide more information, answer any questions, or arrange a meeting to discuss project ideas.
We look forward to hearing from you.
