Scholarships offered jointly by the Cyprus Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics for the Academic Year 2026-2027
We are pleased to inform you that the Cyprus Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics (CING) under a Memorandum of Cooperation, provide the opportunity for up to three (3) postgraduate (MSc) scholarships to Australian nationals, for the academic year 2026 – 2027. The scholarships are offered to applicants who are accepted according to the CING entry requirements, following the evaluation of their academic qualifications and a personal interview.
Available MSc Programmes funded by this Scholarship Scheme:
1. MSc in Molecular Medicine
2. MSc in Medical Genetics
3. MSc in Neuroscience
4. MSc in Biotechnology
Each scholarship includes:
- Full tuition fees (€8,000)
- A stipend of up to €1,000 per month for 12 months to support accommodation and living expenses in Cyprus. All successful applicants will be informed of the final amount upon acceptance.
Minimum Entry Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution in a related field.
- High School Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- English Language Proficiency – Regardless of whether previous studies were conducted in English, applicants must provide one of the following:
- IELTS (Academic) – Minimum overall score: 6
- TOEFL iBT - Minimum score: 85 (Home Edition not accepted)
- Cambridge IGCSE – English as a Second Language - Minimum score: C
Application Process
- Applications must be submitted online between 14 January 2026 and 10 May 2026 via the following link: https://extranet.cing.ac.cy/applynow. Late applications will not be considered.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
