Call for interesting cases for Genethics Forum

Can you think of a case that has stayed on your mind, or kept you up at night? Consider submitting the case for inclusion in the Genethics Forum workshop at the upcoming HGSA ASM in August. A Genethics Forum involves a brief “ethics refresher” followed by presentation of ethically complex cases. We facilitate a discussion of the ethical aspects of the case, and then hear how the case was resolved. Ideally the case is presented by the person who encountered it in their practice, and one of the workshop conveners will facilitate ethical deliberation about the case. This year we are keen to explore cases related to mainstreaming genomics, and would welcome both clinical and laboratory perspectives. If your case is selected we will be in touch to discuss incorporating your case into the workshop, assist with developing slides, etc.
