Moana Va is a practical and uplifting wellbeing workshop designed for people working in high emotional labour roles. This session offers space to pause, connect, reflect, and explore simple tools that support wellbeing in both work and everyday life. Together, we will begin with whakawhanaungatanga to build connection and create a safe, welcoming space.

Participants will also take part in cultural and interactive activities that encourage grounding, self-awareness, and shared learning. The workshop includes Moana Va’s Moana Vibes movement session, designed to lift energy, release stress, and support wellbeing in a fun and accessible way.

Participants will hear honest reflections on burnout, recovery, and resilience, and be introduced to practical strategies that can help manage stress and support emotional sustainability. The session will also explore holistic wellbeing through the Fonofale and Te Whare Tapa Wha models, offering culturally grounded ways to understand and strengthen wellbeing across different areas of life. This workshop is inclusive, engaging, and restorative, with a focus on connection, culture, and practical tools participants can take away and use straight away.

Participants will leave with:

1.  Greater understanding of stress and burnout in demanding roles
2. Practical tools to support regulation, recovery, and resilience
3. A holistic wellbeing lens using Te Whare Tapa Wha and Fonofale
4. Simple actions they can apply in their work and personal life
5. A sense of connection, encouragement, and renewed energy
