This society is established to promote the highest standards of clinical Cytogenetics practice and for the advancement of science in this clinical laboratory specialty. It facilitates communication among Australasian Cytogeneticists to develop clinical Cytogenetics in both practical and ethical aspects, promote meetings and discussion of matters relevant to the practice of clinical Cytogenetics, develop and maintain professional standards of Cytogeneticists and interest with organizations with similar purposes elsewhere.
