1. Workshop / ASM Presentation Travel Grant- $500
The criteria for assessment for the travel grant will include:
- Relevance of work to genetic counselling profession
- Originality of work
- Significance of work to genetic counselling profession
- The completed application form should be sent to Susan Fawcett (ASGC Chair) by 31st January 2009 with a copy of the abstract, which has already been submitted for the ASGC annual workshop or HGSA Annual Scientific Meeting for 2009.
- If the abstract is accepted, the eligibility of the applicant will be also be assessed by the 2009 ASGC grants committee. To be eligible for a travel grant, applicants must be current financial members of the ASGC and must have been a member of the ASGC for at least the two years preceding the application.
- The ASGC members of the ASGC workshop organising committee and the current ASGC Executive are ineligible to apply for the travel grants.
- The ASGC chairperson will notify the successful applicants.
- The successful applicants will be ineligible for an ASGC travel grant for a minimum of two years after receipt of the grant.
