The criteria for assessment for this travel grant will include:
- Contribution (poster / oral / discussion panel / active role in meeting) to be made by applicant to ASGC workshop
- Contribution made by the applicant to genetic counselling professional activities
- State or regional representation
- If there is no appropriate applicant in this category in any year, the award will not be granted.
1. The completed application form and professional development purposes proposal should be sent to Susan Fawcett (ASGC Chair & 2010 HGSA Scientific Program Committee member) by 31st May 2010.
2. To be eligible for the grant, applicants must be current financial members of the ASGC and must have been a member of the ASGC for at least the two years preceding the application.
3. The ASGC members of the ASGC annual workshop organising committee and the ASGC Executive will be ineligible to apply for the travel grants.
4. The ASGC members of the ASGC annual workshop organising committee together with the ASGC Executive will decide who the successful applicant will be.
5. The ASGC chairperson will notify the successful applicant.
6. The successful applicant will be ineligible for an ASGC travel grant for a minimum of two years after receipt of the grant.
7. The Recipient will be asked to prepare a workshop summary (maximum of two pages) for publication in the edition of Linkage that follows the ASGC workshop / HGSA ASM.
