This professional association is for clinical geneticists and those training in this discipline.   The group deals with issues relating to training in clinical genetics as well as policy matters pertaining to this specialty.   Training in clinical genetics is undertaken through the Specialist Advisory Committee (SAC) in Clinical Genetics of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and may be undertaken by trainees in either the adult of paediatric streams. Trainees of other medical subspecialties, eg the Royal Australasian College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, may also train as clinical geneticists.
