Melbourne Pathology is one of Victoria’s largest diagnostic pathology laboratories, committed to providing high quality health care throughout metropolitan Melbourne, regional Victoria and interstate.   Melbourne Pathology is part of the Sonic Healthcare group, which has a number of cytogenetic laboratories in Australia and overseas.

The Cytogenetics Department of Melbourne Pathology is a busy laboratory processing a wide range specimens including prenatal, postnatal and tissue samples using cytogenetic and FISH techniques.

An opportunity exists for a scientist to join the Cytogenetics Department in a full time position.  Small amounts of after hours or weekend work may be necessary.  The applicant is required to have a science degree with a major in genetics.  Experience in diagnostic cytogenetics would be an advantage.
